hotels, Year end parties

How do you surprise the CEO who has everything?

Secretaries from wide and far dread this time of year when they need to come up with yet another mind-boggling, awesome year end idea which has never ever been done before. I see you nodding in despair.

Travel down Beyers Naude in the direction of the Randpark Golf Club, and in the leafy suburbs you will find The Fairway Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Set up at the hotel close the Fairway Spa, is the answer to all you sleepless nights: Sky Dining.

Sky Events takes 22 diners up 40m in the sky at a time. With a wonderful view of the Randpark Golf Course greenery, guests can enjoy either breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks, prepared by Fairway’s Executive Chef and his excellent team.

For year end functions the evening or sundown lift makes the most sense. The most jaded board of Directors will have a secret thrill as they bite into their beef fillet while sipping on a beautiful Merlot, with a 360 degree view of the twinkling Northcliff night lights surrounding them.

The Sky Dining dinner experience lasts approximately one and a half hours and includes the following menu at R590 per person: Baby potato and goats cheese terrine with a green tomato chutney and herb salad; Grilled beef fillet served on mustard mashed potatoes and roasted root vegetables, with a port wine sauce; Passion fruit lemon tart served with an orange and ginger sauce.

For those who wondered about the loo? Yes, the Sky Lift can go down again in the case of emergencies, but be a good boy and go beforehand. You will just be so much more popular with your colleagues if you do.
