Guest Blogger, New Year's Resolutions


It’s that time of year again. when we all sit down and make a list of habit-changing, self-improving, mood-boosting things we vow to do next year & then they never happen!

I am one of those…every year I take the time to write my New Year’s resolutions out on paper, I even put them in a frame and place them on my fridge where I can revisit them constantly. Having that visual reminder on a daily basis helps me to stick to my goals throughout the year.

In 2016, my goals included making an effort to plan dinner with my family & friends at least once a week & spend more time at visiting the Guvon Hotel & Spas properties.  In 2017, I vowed to drink more water (yes water) and less wine and be more punctual & visit Guvon Hotels & Spas more often. And in 2018, I had a plan to attend less events & learn to cook Mexican… and a whole long list of resolutions that never materialised.

But this year I just have one resolution (except for spending more time at my favourite Guvon Hotels & Spas properties) that I’m really going to try and stick to. My 2019 New Year’s resolution is to no longer procrastinate – my worst habit. This especially happens when I get busy & things like unanswered emails, deadlines, housework and those everyday to-do lists really start piling up.
